We are nestled deep in the heart of the South San Juan Mountains, near Platoro, Colorado.Platoro was once a flourishing gold and silver mining town, and is rich in history. The ghost town still stands today and gold still remains in the hillsides and rivers.

We take pride in our clean comfortable cabins. They are environmentally safe and no strong cleaners or chemicals are used on the property. We have eleven completely furnished housekeeping cottages on the banks of the scenic Conejos river.
If you're wanting to escape the crowds, then Conejos Cabins is the place for you. Cool, starry nights and the sound of the water rolling over the rocks will lull you to sleep every night.
Fishermen can enjoy several hundred miles of fishable mountain streams, or fish in the many high lakes.
If hiking or backpacking is your forté, then follow the Continental Divide back into the vast San Juan Wilderness.

Nature photographers will find 150 varieties of wild flowers as well as an abundance of wildlife.
Hunters can enjoy well over one-half million acres of public lands right out your cabin door.
Archery and black powder hunters are sure to see elk, deer and bear within hiking distance. Outfitters are available nearby for wilderness drop camps as well as guided hunts.
Horseback riding is a must for anyone wanting to see the high country.
Platoro Reservoir is just around the bend, and boats are available for fishing or running around the reservoir.
We are an accredited Christian camp and would love to welcome home schoolers, as well as church groups, youth groups and families from May 25 through September. If you time it right you may also see the Golden Aspens turn and shimmer in the late September breezes. Our area has been rated #1 in Colorado for viewing Aspens changing.
